Key Volunteers 
The ENRICHri key volunteers is comprised of cooperative directors, public relations team, webmaster, membership coordinator, member support advocate, community class coordinators, special events coordinator, and data entry specialist.

Member Support Advocate
Melissa has been a member of ENRICHri since 2010.  Her 14-year-old son has been homeschooled since birth.  Melissa served on the Executive Board for 5 years, was the ENRICHri Membership Coordinator for a year, and the Class Coordinator for 5 years.  Since 2015 Melissa has been the Homeschool Liaison for the Newport Naval Base, bringing her experiences as a native Rhode Island homeschooler to incoming families.
In her life prior to being a mom, Melissa worked for CVS in various roles for 14 years, most recently managing the Pharmacy Automation team. Melissa also worked in museum interpretation (her passion) at Mystic Seaport Museum and Slater Mill Historic Site. Now Melissa’s life revolves around her son’s extensive Pokémon TCG tournament schedule and enjoying his teen years.
Melissa brings a wealth of passion and leadership in creating community connections to ENRICHri.

Public Relations
Jenn lives with her husband, 2 children, 2 very spoiled cats, 1 spoiled dog, and has been with ENRICHri since 2011, joining the PR team in 2013.  Jenn and her husband both work full time outside of the home and share homeschooling responsibilities.
She has been homeschooling for 15 years and loves every minute of it!
Jenn has been working in an outpatient dialysis center for the last 17 years and was  Project Coordinator for a local chapter of an international charity that helps homeless, abused and abandoned children.  She is very active in her church, serving on the church council as chairperson for the Board of Christian Education, Sunday School Superintendent, a Youth Group leader, and has led a summer Vacation Bible School program for the community for the past 8 years.
Jenn has also organized a community play group in Pawtucket, and helped run a large mom’s group in Warwick.  Jenn’s family is active in the community and volunteers at a local town animal shelter and are avid animal lovers.  She spends much of her time at their home away from home; gymnastics practices and competitions. Jenn brings a wealth of knowledge about marketing and project coordination to ENRICHri from her years leading varied groups and from her professional life.

Cooperative Director
Marcia lives in Riverside, RI with her husband Bryan, her 3 boys, and 2 cats. Marcia works as a Registered Dietitian and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutritional Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Education.  She grew up in Warren, RI, then after living in Maine for 9 years, moved back to RI to be closer to family. They decided to homeschool and joined ENRICHri in 2014.
One of her children has autism and Marcia is very active with autism awareness and fundraising with the RI Autism Project.
Her parents own Frerichs Farm in Warren, RI and while growing up on a farm,
she has learned the value of hard work and the importance of cooperation.
Marcia enjoys taking trips with her family and watching her boys experience life and new adventures.  She and Bryan have a strong sense of community and are excited to help further promote ENRICHri’s values and mission.

Assistant Cooperative Director
Ashley lives in Rehoboth, MA with her husband and 3 children, a newborn, 2 year old and 4 year old and their dog, Petunia. Ashley is just embarking on her homeschooling journey with her oldest and joined ENRICHri in 2014.  She’s always wanted to homeschool and is excited to help educate and cultivate her children’s passions alongside her husband and the ENRICH community.
Prior to becoming a mom Ashley was a veterinary nurse for 12 years and has a degree in Animal Science from URI. Ashley is also a consultant for the amazing Rodan + Fields skincare line. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and yoga.

Membership Coordinator
Amy Golaski has been a member of ENRICHri since 2013 and is currently on the volunteer staff serving as the Membership Coordinator. She has experience in the non-profit fundraising world, as both a freelance research consultant and working for institutions, such as the Harvard School of Public Health, and the Boys and Girls Club of Boston.
Amy has a graduate degree in Gerontology and Human Development from the University of Saint Joseph and currently homeschools her daughters in Pawtucket. Amy is passionate about educational choice and freedom and is thrilled to be a part of welcoming new members to this vital homeschool network.

Jess is new to homeschooling but not new to teaching. She has an extensive background in Early Childhood Development and plans to homeschool her youngest, preschool through high school and her middle child through high school,
with the help of the ENRICHri Community.
Jess also has 10 plus years of website development and loves reading and gardening. She lives in the beautiful Northern part of the state with her husband, two boys, two dogs and bratty cat. Her oldest has already left the nest.

Elementary Class Coordinator
Lara is a strong advocate of lifelong learning.  She is excited to help to connect ENRICHri members from across the state in family learning opportunities.  In addition to homeschooling her two children, she is on the anthropology faculty at Bridgewater State University.  Lara grew up in RI, attended Providence College for a BA in biology, and then moved to Connecticut to complete her PhD in medical anthropology.  She has a varied work background from tutoring elementary students to surgical research to program evaluation for health and education initiatives.  She returned to RI to be closer to her family and shortly thereafter started a branch of her own!  Now many of her happiest days include learning next to her kids and oftentimes from them!

Julia Arnold,
Special Events Coordinator

Julia lives in Warwick with her husband, son , daughter, three cats, and dog. Julia has been homeschooling her son for 3 years and is elated to be a part of the ENRICHri community. Before becoming a mom, Julia attended Marshall University in West Virginia where she studied elementary and special education. Julia has been home with her children for the last 7 years, and in the past she co-ran a moms group where she coordinated events and welcomed new members.
Julia loves to organize and plan parties and is excited to be running the Special Events committee for ENRICHri.

Data Entry Specialist
Emily is new to the area and to homeschooling, but is excited to tackle these new adventures.  Emily is from Pittsburgh, but has lived in New England for the past 16 years. Her professional background is in training coordination and event planning. But her passion is volunteering, and she’s glad to find a role in ENRICHri that could use her behind-the-scenes application support experience.
She lives in Rehoboth with her husband and her two kids, Darcy and Graham.

ENRICHri is an inclusive, non-religious community which provides support, friendship, and guidance for homeschooling families in Southern New England and promotes homeschooling within the greater community. ENRICHri will achieve this purpose through:
Promoting the development of a supportive homeschooling community for parents and children,

Providing opportunities for relevant, affordable, real-world learning and group homeschooling opportunities, and
Advocating for our members in the community. We are a nonprofit 501(C) 3 tax exempt organization.
